There are internal and external factors associated with the cause of a pulled muscle. The most common are:
1. Muscle fascia is about 70% water. Thus,
dehydration can lead to muscle injury.
2. Weak and uncoordinated core (see
page)
3. Imbalanced muscle strength ratio around a
joint (i.e., hamstrings are not strong
enough compared to quads)
4. Loose joints and ligaments can stress
surrounding tissue and cause movement
patterns prone to injury
5. Improper warm-up prior to sport activity
1. Set up an appointment for a core
evaluation. (see video )
2. Engage in a warm-up prior to exercise
activity to prepare the joints for required
joint range of motion.
3. Ensure proper hydration and diet.
4. Invest in a custom strength and flexibility
program
